Some of our supporters have been with us since the beginning – over 25 years ago!
Devon Baroque relies on the financial backing of its supporters – audiences, individuals, and grant-making bodies such as the Exeter and District Classical Music Trust.
Ticket money alone cannot cover the cost of bringing top professional musicians to Devon and the costs of prestigious venues such as Dartington Hall. Your generous donations to Devon Baroque provide the financial stability that helps us plan and develop our concert series for you.
Together, we can keep Devon Baroque at the forefront of exciting music making, concert giving and education work throughout the South West region.
In addition, because Devon Baroque is registered charity, friends’ and patrons’ donations qualify for Gift Aid. With Gift Aid, HMRC increases your donation to Devon Baroque by 25%. For every £1 that you donate to Devon Baroque, we receive £1.25 and all you have to do, to redirect a portion of your tax payment, is check a box and sign on our Gift Aid donation form – it’s that simple!. Please consider putting some of your taxes to work, directly supporting live, baroque music here in Devon.
How can you support Devon Baroque?
Become a Patron
We encourage our Patrons to commit up to three years of donations to help us improve our long range financial stability and planning. But you get to choose – it’s entirely up to you – we’re grateful for whatever you decide. Thank you!
There are three levels of patronage:
- Bronze: a commitment of £250 p.a.
- Silver: a commitment of £500 p.a.
- Gold: a commitment of £750 p.a.
Become a Friend
A yearly commitment at your discretion – We suggest £50 for an individual / £80 for a couple.
Volunteer your expertise
As a Trustee::
– for people who have or have had experience of business and/or industry, and related money matters. Trustees ensure that the management of the orchestra fulfils Charity Commission requirements.
As a Host:
– providing B&B to players who may need a home from home.

As well as the knowledge that your financial commitment will develop more great concerts and educational work, all donors will receive:
- A Season newsletter outlining our concert programmes and venues, and other exciting developments.
- The opportunity to have seats reserved in Dartington Great Hall, or our other venues.
- Your name in each programme as acknowledgement of your support. (Or if you prefer, you can remain anonymous.)
- An invitation to post-concert receptions with performers and the management team – an ideal time to get to know us better.
