A family concert with a difference! Not only a concert for the whole family, but one celebrating the family of perhaps the greatest composer of western music, Johann Sebastian Bach. Not only will the concert feature two iconic pieces of his – the solo cantata ‘Ich habe genug’ for solo bass with obbligato oboe and Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 – but also less well-known pieces by Wilhelm Friedmann and Carl Philipp Emanuel (his two eldest sons), and Johann Bernhard, a 2nd cousin and his student.  J.S. Bach also arranged for harpsichord some of his favourite concertos by Telemann (godfather to C.P.E Bach) and Johann Ernst, prince of Saxe-Weimar.
